WEEK, and the total killed in the Iraq war was
just over 1,800.

The US killed rate has taken a bit of a rise in the last
few days.
Just before the US invaders attacked Al Falujah the
first time the daily US killed rate was just 25.
Just two weeks ago I would have settled for an average
rate of US Killed in Iraq every day at around 40.

Resistance mounts heavy attack on US column leaving 21 Americans dead
or wounded Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 7:50pm Mecca time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a column of
five armored vehicles and four Humvees
in the al-Jazirah area on the road that links al-Hadithah
with Bayji to the northeast.
Residents of the al-Jazirah area told Mafkarat al-Islam that about 20
Iraqi Resistance fighters detonated a bomb that they had planted by the
side of the road leading to al-Hadithah as a US column was passing by.
The blast destroyed one Humvee.
Resistance fighters then fired eight 82mm mortar rounds into the
column, disabling one armored vehicle and destroying a second Humvee.
The correspondent said that Resistance fighters then directly attacked
the column, with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets, destroying
another American armored vehicle. About 21 American troops were dead or
wounded by the end of the engagement, the correspondent reported.
Witnesses reported that one Iraqi Resistance fighter was martyred
during the attack and another was wounded but was able to withdraw with
the other Resistance men before the American reinforcements arrived on
the scene together with their vehicles and helicopters. The US forces
then encircled the area and hauled away their wrecked vehicles and the
bodies of their dead and wounded.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-packed car
into a US column on the Strategic Road near the Taribil border crossing
on the Iraqi-Jordanian frontier at about 3pm local time Thursday
afternoon.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in ar-Rutbah reported residents of
the city as saying that a Resistance fighter slammed his booby-trapped
car into a convoy of several US armored vehicles on the highway,
destroying one American armored vehicle and setting a Humvee ablaze.
Seven US troops were killed or wounded in the attack.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb blasts joint patrol in downtown al-Fallujah at noon.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol on
the main road in the middle of al-Fallujah at 12 noon local time
Thursday.
Shopkeepers on the main road told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent
in al-Fallujah that a bomb exploded by the side of the road as a joint
patrol was passing near the regional governorate building, which is
currently occupied by US forces who have turned it into a headquarters.
The explosion set one pickup belonging to the Iraqi puppet forces on
fire, killing three Iraqi puppet troops and wounding one more Iraqi
puppet soldier. Three US troops were also wounded in the bomb attack.

morning.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet patrol on
ash-Shu'lah Road in the al-Karmah area east of al-Fallujah at about
10am local time.
Residents of al-Karmah told Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was
planted by the side of the road in the east of al-Karmah blew up as a
joint patrol was passing. The blast destroyed one Humvee, killing two
US troops and wounding two more. One Iraqi puppet soldier was also
wounded in the attack.

Resistance ambushes US column near ar-Ramadi early Thursday.
Iraqi Resistance fighters carried out two attacks on a US column on the
main road in the as-Sufiyah area of ar-Ramadi in western Iraq at 7am
local time Thursday morning.
Residents of as-Sufiyah told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that a
bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in their
village blew up as a column of two US armored vehicles and four Humvees
passed by.
The blast destroyed one of the armored vehicles, killing or wounding
four US troops who were aboard it. Witnesses told Quds Press that the
vehicle destroyed by the bomb was a Humvee and confirmed that those
aboard were all either killed or injured.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that less than five minutes after the blast,
Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons including RPG7
rocket-propelled grenades and BKC machine guns attacked the column,
also blasting it with six mortar rounds.
The attack destroyed a Humvee and another US armored vehicle, killing
or wounding eight more American troops, according to Mafkarat al-Islam.
Witnesses who spoke to Quds Press said that four American troops were
killed in that attack and more than six other Americans were wounded.
After the double attack, US forces encircled the area, preventing

Residents of Khan Darri told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam
that a detachment of about 12 Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with
light and medium weapons, including RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades and
BKC machine guns, attacked the joint patrol. Two US Humvees and an Ural
vehicle belonging to the puppet police were destroyed and four US
troops and three Iraqi puppet police were killed in the attack. Another
five US troops and two Iraqi puppet policemen were wounded.
Witnesses said that three of the Iraqi Resistance fighters who carried

PR chief for Ahmad Chelebi shot dead in Baghdad.
The public relations director working for career CIA agent, convicted
embezzler, and puppet so-called "deputy prime minister of Iraq"
Ahmad Chelebi, was shot to death in Baghdad according to a statement by
Intqad Qanbar, Chelebi's spokesman, as reported Thursday by Quds
Press from Baghdad.
Qanbar said that a group of armed men raided the house of Haydar
Muhammad 'Ali ad-Dujayli in the as-Sayyidiyah area of western Baghdad
and shot him dead. His corpse was taken to al-Yarmuk Hospital in
Baghdad.
Fierce fighting between Resistance and puppet police during the night
followed by raids and arrests Thursday morning in southern Baghdad.

residents as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the sidewalk
on the main road in the middle of ad-Dujayl blew up as a US patrol of
several Humvees was passing by.
The blast destroyed a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding three
more, the witnesses reported.

Six US troops killed in double bombing late Thursday morning.
Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US patrol on a farm road in
the middle of the village of al-Bu Zurayq, which is east of
ad-Dulu'iyah and south of Samarra', at 11am local time Thursday
morning.
Residents of the village told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that
the first of the two bombs went off in the middle of the road when the
US patrol passed over it. That blast set one of the Humvees on fire,
killing three US troops and wounding one more.

the bodies of the dead and wounded. It was at that moment that the

collaborator engineers who work on a US military base as they left work

Wednesday evening, al-Jazeera satellite TV reported. Al-Jazeera said
that the American acknowledgement of the three soldiers' deaths came
just hours after US occupation spokesmen admitted that one New York
police officer and a US Marine had been killed in ar-Ramadi.

US soldier reported killed in Thursday morning roadside bombing.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the
highway northwest of al-Yusufiyah at 8:30am local time Thursday
morning.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported owners of
groves in al-Bu Khalif village, northwest of al-Yusufiyah as saying
that a bomb that was planted by the side of the highway exploded as a
patrol of five Humvees passed by. The blast set one of the Humvees on
fire, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of those who were
aboard it.

Ad-Dujayl.
US soldier reported killed in Thursday afternoon roadside bombing.
An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a passing US patrol in the
ad-Dujayl area south of Samarra' at about 3pm local time Thursday
afternoon.
The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam in Samarra' reported ad-Dujayl
residents as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the sidewalk
on the main road in the middle of ad-Dujayl blew up as a US patrol of
several Humvees was passing by.
The blast destroyed a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding three
more, the witnesses reported.
Ad-Dulu'iayh.
Six US troops killed in double bombing late Thursday morning.
Two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US patrol on a farm road in
the middle of the village of al-Bu Zurayq, which is east of
ad-Dulu'iyah and south of Samarra', at 11am local time Thursday
morning.
Residents of the village told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that
the first of the two bombs went off in the middle of the road when the
US patrol passed over it. That blast set one of the Humvees on fire,
killing three US troops and wounding one more.
After that explosion, US forces encircled the area to try to extract
the bodies of the dead and wounded. It was at that moment that the
second blast occurred, killing three Americans who were trying to guard
the area.
Resistance shoots two collaborator engineers working on US base.
Iraqi Resistance fighters opened fire on a car carrying two Iraqi
collaborator engineers who work on a US military base as they left work
in ad-Dulu'iyah Thursday, according to a report carried by al-Jazeera
satellite TV. The collaborator engineers were killed in the attack.

Mosul.
Resistance bomb blasts US patrol Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Mecca time Thursday morning, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
military column on the al-Khumsanah road in the al-Wahdah neighborhood
of Mosul in northern Iraq on Thursday morning.
Residents of al-Wahdah told Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that was
planted under a pile of rubbish by the side of the road blew up as a
patrol of several Humvees passed by.
The explosion set one of the US vehicles on fire, killing or wounding
four American troops.

Kirkuk.
Three puppet policemen killed in Resistance ambush in Kirkuk.
Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a patrol of Iraqi puppet police in
the 11 March neighborhood of central Kirkuk on Thursday, al-Jazeera
satellite TV reported. Three of the puppet policemen were killed in the
attack.
